SWIT has unveiled its latest LED panel lights, the PL-S300D and PL-S300H, both of which are 300W Bi-Color LED panel lights designed to meet the diverse lighting needs of professional studios.
PL-S300D Soft Light
The PL-S300D features 1,200 SMD LEDs and an S-Polytech organic light diffuser. It claims an output of 10,000 lx at 1 meter (3.3 feet). With a 120° beam angle (64° half-peak), it provides broad and even light distribution suitable for various lighting scenarios.
PL-S300H Hard Light
The PL-S300H is a hard-light panel light designed for focused and intense illumination. It incorporates SWIT’s unique compound optical structure, featuring a Fly-Eye and 45° reflector for each LED. This design aims to enhance diffusion and reduce color aberrations, offering clean and vibrant light output. The PL-S300H has a 45° half-peak beam angle, providing high illuminance and uniform light spots, with a claimed output of 47,000 lx at 1 meter (3.3 feet).
Performance at Distance
For studio installations requiring lights to be placed 5 meters (16.4 feet) away, the PL-S300H is recommended for its high brightness and wide beam angle, ensuring good coverage.
Weight
Both the PL-S300D and PL-S300H weigh 9.74 kg (21.47 lb).
Silent Operation
The PL-S300D and PL-S300H feature SWIT’s passive cooling design, eliminating the need for fans and ensuring silent operation, which is crucial in sound-sensitive environments.
Color Precision and DMX Integration
The PL-S300 series offers a wide color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K. With independent DMX addresses for dimming and color temperature adjustments, these lights can be easily integrated into various lighting setups.
Energy Efficiency
The PL-S300 series is designed with energy efficiency in mind, claiming a 17% increase in lumens per watt (LPW) compared to competitors. This efficiency can lead to significant energy savings and reduced carbon emissions. SWIT estimates that a broadcast studio using the PL-S300 series could reduce carbon emissions by approximately 2 tons per year.
Pricing and Availability
The PL-S300D is priced at 1599 Euros, while the PL-S300H will be available for 1999 Euros.
