Northwest Camera Co. has introduced a new series of lenses, named Tarkumarles Primes, as part of their V35 Project.

These lenses are heavily inspired by the classic Pentax Super Takumars.

Features and Design

The Tarkumarles Primes are based on the new DZO Arles Primes, with modifications to emulate the vintage characteristics of the Takumar lenses. The lenses are designed to offer soft falloff, low contrast, veiling glare, warmer tones, and distinctive flares. Additionally, they provide a creamy yet textured bokeh, mild edge falloff, and a glow when used wide open.

Pricing and Availability
  • Tuning Mod/Exterior Finish: $2,500.00 USD per lens
  • Exterior Gold Finish Limited Editions: An additional $750 USD per lens (limited to 10 sets)
