Teatro Real Upgrades Communication with Riedel’s Bolero System

The Teatro Real, recognized as Spain’s leading venue for performing and musical arts, has made a substantial improvement to its wireless communication setup by incorporating Riedel Communications’ Bolero wireless intercom system.

Initially transitioning to the Bolero system in 2020 for its advanced capabilities, the Teatro Real has further expanded its equipment to include 43 beltpacks, nine antennas, and four NSA interfaces, ensuring compatibility with existing systems. The upgraded Bolero system provides extensive coverage throughout the venue, including the stage, corridors, and two principal halls, the Gayarre and Salón de Baile, which host a variety of events, facilitating uninterrupted and clear communication for the technical team.

Enhanced Workflow and Reliability

Fernando Valiente, the Audiovisual Manager at Teatro Real, highlighted the significant impact of the Bolero system on the venue’s operations. The system’s exceptional audio quality, easy configuration, and wide-ranging coverage have greatly improved the efficiency of the venue’s workflow. The technical staff has adapted quickly to the Bolero beltpacks, making the system a crucial tool for the venue. Its reliability and robust features support the production of flawless performances and events, allowing the staff to concentrate on delivering extraordinary experiences in multiple venues.

Operational Improvements and Emergency Preparedness

The implementation of the Bolero wireless intercom system has facilitated seamless communication and enhanced the workflow across the opera house. The versatility of the Bolero beltpack and its six-button configuration allows team members to easily communicate, significantly boosting the efficiency of technical operations. Furthermore, the system includes a provision for emergencies, with a dedicated beltpack for use if the wired communication system fails, ensuring continuous operations.
