Harmonic announced that Telecentro, a prominent telecommunications operator in Argentina, has selected Harmonic’s cOS broadband platform to upgrade its broadband network.
The adoption of Harmonic’s virtualized core software and flexible edge devices aims to maximize Telecentro’s investment in DOCSIS 3.1 networks, ensuring reliable, high-speed internet services for both residential and corporate customers.
Statement from Telecentro’s Chief Technology Officer
Juan Luna, Chief Technology and Information Officer at Telecentro, expressed confidence in the partnership with Harmonic, citing the company’s strong track record. Luna highlighted that the cOS platform will enable Telecentro to increase internet service capacity quickly, improve service reliability, and lower operational expenses, including costs related to power, space, and cooling.
