Telos Alliance has announced the launch of xNode2, the latest version of its widely used AoIP (Audio over IP) interface series.
Known for their robust design and reliable performance, the xNode family has been a significant part of broadcast audio infrastructures worldwide.
Built for Seamless Integration and Redundancy
The xNode2 serves as a modern update to the original xNode, providing connectivity between external analog, microphone, and AES/EBU devices and Livewire+ AES67 AoIP networks. It features a durable, compact half-rack form factor similar to its predecessor. Enhancements include internal hardware updates that address current industry standards, such as dual 1000MB network interfaces. These interfaces ensure compliance with SMPTE 2022-7, which supports seamless protection switching and automatic failover for redundant audio streaming.
Performance and User Interface Enhancements
A new high-resolution, multi-function LCD color display and an improved user interface are part of xNode2’s updates. The unit also offers both AC and PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) for redundant power options. Telos Alliance will provide xNode2 in multiple configurations, including Analog, AES/EBU, Microphone, Mixed-Signal, and GPIO models.
Availability and Shipping Timeline
Telos Alliance’s channel partners are now taking orders for the xNode2. The Microphone version will be the first to ship, expected by the end of October 2024. The AES/EBU, Mixed-Signal, GPIO, and Analog models will follow, with availability projected by early December 2024.
