Telycam is presenting its latest product, the Explore PTZ camera, at IBC 2024.
This camera is equipped with a 9MP 1-inch Sony sensor, delivering 4K60 video resolution. It includes Advanced Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) to maintain clear and sharp images, even in fast-paced settings.
Versatile Connectivity and AI Functions
The Explore PTZ camera is designed for easy integration into various workflows. It features a 20x optical zoom and offers multiple connectivity options, including 12G-SDI with Genlock, NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX3, HDMI, and SFP+. The camera also supports AI Auto-Tracking, FreeD integration for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) production, and local recording capabilities, providing flexibility in different production environments.
Built-in ND Filter for Light Management
The camera comes with a built-in electronic variable ND filter, allowing adjustment of light transmission levels to 1.6%, 6.3%, 25%, and 100%. Users can also attach their own ND filter directly to the lens using reserved threads for precise control over lighting in various scenarios.
1-Inch Sensor for Improved Image Quality
The Explore PTZ camera includes a 1-inch sensor, which enhances light sensitivity, improves low-light performance, reduces noise, and enables the creation of ‘bokeh’ effects with a shallow depth of field. The expanded dynamic range captures more detail in shadows and highlights, resulting in clearer images with improved contrast.
PDAF for Efficient Autofocus
The camera’s advanced PDAF system provides fast and accurate autofocus, which is useful in dynamic broadcast and live streaming environments. The PDAF system allows for continuous sharp focus without the need for manual adjustments, improving workflow efficiency.
AR/VR Compatibility for Virtual Production
The Explore PTZ camera integrates with AR and VR environments, offering real-time video and tracking data for virtual production. It is compatible with platforms such as Brainstorm InfinitySet, Aximmetry, Zero Density, ClassX srl, and Vset 3D, making it suitable for various production scales. The camera’s FreeD integration and Genlock facilitate the integration of physical and virtual elements in live broadcasts.
Application and Availability
The Explore PTZ camera is designed for various broadcast applications, including studio environments, live sports events, and seminars. It is intended for professionals requiring reliable visuals and comprehensive broadcasting capabilities.
NDI6 Readiness
Telycam will also display its Vision+ series at IBC 2024. Both the Explore and Vision+ series are NDI6 ready, allowing for future firmware upgrades. These upgrades aim to streamline remote production workflows through an embedded NDI bridge with hardware utility. Telycam will showcase the Explore PTZ camera at IBC 2024.
