NetRange MMH GmbH announced that it has been selected by Tencent Video to power the international expansion of its WeTV service by reaching new Smart TV and connected device users through the NetRange Smart TV App Store.
This agreement enables WeTV to leverage NetRange’s single integration process, eliminating the need for complex content agreements with individual device brands and manufacturers. NetRange provides content to millions of Smart TVs, set-top-boxes and other connected devices, enabling viewers to enjoy WeTV on as many devices as possible.
Tencent Video has built a strong portfolio of diversified content and strong original content, driven by the mission of continuously enhancing the user experience. It has grown into one of the largest online video platforms in China. WeTV is a global video streaming platform launched by Tencent Video. It has a diverse content portfolio, including TV series, entertainment, movies and anime, and provides multiple languages settings and subtitles. Viewers can enjoy and download multiple categories of high-quality content. In addition to exclusive content made by Tencent Video, WeTV acquires overseas content and cooperates with local film and television companies to produce local contents, to offer the best services to a global audience. WeTV has achieved over 60 million downloads globally in2021 and over 35 million subscribers on YouTube.
