Tieline Introduces Dante Card for Gateway Codecs

Tieline announces the availability of Dante cards for its Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs, enhancing IP audio stream integration.

Tieline, a leader in codec manufacturing, has announced a significant update for its Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs: the availability of Dante cards. This development marks an important step in integrating these codecs with a broader range of IP systems and products, offering greater flexibility and interoperability in professional audio settings.

Customers can now order a Gateway or Gateway 4 codec with an optional Dante card. This addition ensures compatibility with Dante-enabled devices, widely regarded in the audio industry for their ease of use and reliable performance. The Dante Controller software, part of this new offering, simplifies stream management and facilitates the discovery of devices and streams, making the integration process seamless and user-friendly.

The Dante card allows Tieline’s Gateway codecs to seamlessly integrate with Dante devices across various networks, meeting a significant demand from their customer base.

The Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs already support a wide array of protocols, including AES67, ST 2110-30, ST2022-7, AMWA NMOS IS-04 and IS-05, Ember+, RAVENNA, and Livewire+. The addition of the Dante card, alongside an optional WheatNet-IP card, further extends this support. This level of compatibility underscores Tieline’s focus on ensuring its products can work effortlessly across different IP systems.

Tieline codecs are known for their capability to stream low latency, high-quality audio over the internet, utilizing various wired and wireless IP transports. They are particularly well-suited for studio-to-transmitter links (STLs), network audio distribution, and managing multiple remote broadcasts. The new Dante card enhances these codecs’ ability to interoperate with numerous AoIP protocols, offering unprecedented support for both open standard and proprietary AoIP systems.
