Tilta has released two new tabletop tripods, the BT03 and BT03E, both featuring carbon fiber legs.
These tripods are designed to support up to 6.6 lbs (3kg) of weight, with the BT03E model offering additional support and height with an included extension rod.
Both models include a 90° vertical shooting slot and a 360° panoramic ball head for versatile shooting angles.
Features of the Tilta BT03
The Tilta BT03 tabletop tripod comes with a ball head that can hold up to 6.6 lbs (3kg). It is built for durability and compactness, weighing 1.34 lbs (610g). The tripod has a minimum height of 5.12 inches (130mm) and a maximum height of 12.8 inches (325mm), making it suitable for travel. It includes an Arca quick-release plate with a 1/4″-20 screw, compatible with many Tilta camera cages.
Features of the Tilta BT03E
The Tilta BT03E offers the same 6.6 lbs (3kg) payload capacity as the BT03 but can increase its capacity to 11.02 lbs (5kg) with the use of the extension rod. This model is lighter, weighing 0.94 lbs (428g) without the extension rod, and 1.07 lbs (485g) with it. The BT03E allows for a maximum height of 21.9 inches (555mm) with the extension rod attached.
Design and Construction
Both tripods feature a center-column-free design, which is beneficial for low-angle shots. The legs can be adjusted to three different angles depending on the camera height needed. The tripods are constructed from multi-layered diamond cross-woven carbon fiber and feature a twist-lock mechanism for fast height adjustments. The legs include 1/4″-20 mounting points with locating pins for accessory attachment.
Pricing and Availability
The Tilta BT03 and BT03E are now available for preorder with a 10% discount until August 23rd. Orders will begin shipping in two weeks. The BT03 is priced at $89, and the BT03E at $98. Both models come in snow white, forest green, and space grey.
