Tilta introduced a modular camera cage system for the Nikon ZR, allowing fast conversion between a full cage and an L-bracket configuration.
Both setups share the same base interface, enabling quick reconfiguration without full disassembly.
Lightweight Construction
The L-bracket configuration weighs 0.31 lb (139 g). The full cage weighs 0.42 lb (189.5 g) without the cable clamp. The design maintains the compact form factor of the Nikon ZR, which weighs 1.19 lb (540 g).
Ergonomics and Handling
A left-side wooden handle with an ergonomic curve is included. The handle mounts directly to the cage and supports extended handheld operation. Camera buttons, microphone ports, tally light, and lens adapter clearance remain unobstructed.
Mounting and Rigging Options
The cage features multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting points with locating pins, an integrated cold shoe, and a built-in Arca-Swiss base. A cable clamp secures HDMI and USB-C connections during operation.
Power and Lens Support Accessories
Optional kits include a Mini PD V-Mount Battery Plate with Arca compatibility and a PL mount lens adapter support for use with Kippertie Z to PL adapters. These accessories support extended power and heavy cinema lenses.
Materials and Dimensions
The cage measures 6.46 × 4.02 × 2.36 inches (164 × 102 × 60 mm). Materials include aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and composite wood. Silicone padding protects the camera body.
