Nexstar Media Group: New Leadership in Baton Rouge with Tim Ingram

In this role, Ingram will oversee the long-term planning and daily operations of WGMB-TV (Fox), WBRL-TV (CW), KZUP-TV (Ind), brproud.com, and their related digital and social media channels. Additionally, he will manage Nexstar’s operational agreements with White Knight Broadcasting, Inc., providing services for WVLA-TV (NBC). Ingram will report to Mike Vaughn, senior vice president and regional manager for Nexstar’s broadcasting division.

Extensive Experience in Broadcast Management

Tim Ingram brings nearly two decades of executive experience in broadcast television management, sales, and marketing to his new position. He is well-acquainted with Baton Rouge and its surrounding areas, having previously served as vice president and general manager for WVUE-TV (Fox) in New Orleans from 2015 to 2020. During his tenure at WVUE, the station added 14 hours of local news per week, including new weekday morning news and a weekend newscast. Ingram also expanded the station’s investigative unit and developed various local sports programs.

Proven Success in Increasing Ratings and Revenue

Ingram’s leadership at WVUE resulted in the station becoming the market ratings leader and significantly increasing total advertising sales by nearly 20% and digital ad revenue by over 200%. His efforts earned him the title of “General Manager of the Year” by Broadcast & Cable Magazine in 2019. His career includes a consistent track record of improving ratings, revenue, and profitability by expanding local news content and identifying new revenue streams.

Recent Roles and Career Highlights

Before joining Nexstar, Ingram served as senior vice president/local media for Gray Television, Inc., overseeing broadcast and digital operations in 16 markets across several states. Earlier in his career, he held vice president and general manager positions at television stations in Missouri and Arkansas for Raycom Media.
