TNDV, a leading entertainment-based mobile and REMI production company, joined forces with sister company GameTime Productions to provide technical crewing and fly pack production services for TCL Team Boxing League’s third TV season, broadcast on Merit TV.
TNDV and GameTime resources were deployed across various venues to support ringside content acquisition and live program delivery to TCL’s REMI broadcast facility at The Plex production facility in Fort Worth.
On-Site Production Strategy
TNDV and GameTime, both Nashville-based divisions of Live Media Group (along with Columbus, Ohio-based Live Media), developed an on-site production strategy favoring minimal infrastructure and local technicians across venues. TNDV shipped two fly packs with cameras, switching, routing, audio, and support gear on a rotational basis, providing a professional yet budget-friendly solution with minimal TNDV technicians required.
Local Technical Crews
GameTime Productions organized local crews in each city to execute TCL’s vision. Each venue typically operated four TNDV-supplied HD camera systems, including a jib, along with TNDV’s flypack gear. Network infrastructure at local venues relayed video and audio signals to TCL’s REMI broadcast facility via the public internet.
Efficient Operations
The efficiency-driven crewing and technology strategy ensured smooth, consistent operations throughout the season with few adjustments needed. Rob Devlin, President of TNDV, said:
“We occasionally changed the camera complement or based the size of our jib on venue layout or available space. Careful planning in collaboration with GameTime set the stage for a well-executed endeavor with manageable customer costs.”
