Tokina has launched the Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro, a new version of its original Cinema 100mm Macro lens.

This new model is designed to cover full-frame and Vista Vision sensors, with an image circle of 46.7mm. The lens offers a 1:1 macro capability with a minimum focus distance of 30cm (11.9 inches), making it suitable for both telephoto and macro photography.

Design and Build

The lens features a robust metal body and comes equipped with a nine-blade iris for smooth bokeh effects. It has a maximum aperture of T2.9 and includes a threaded lens support for additional stability. The focus and iris rings are geared and dampened, with a long focus throw to enhance precision. Tokina also states that the lens has been designed to reduce lens breathing.
