ITV Welcomes New Executive Creative Director

ITV has appointed Tom Houser, who previously held positions as Creative Director at the BBC and Uncommon London, as the new Executive Creative Director at ITV Creative starting in March.

He joins Niki Garner, the Director of ITV Creative, as a key member of the leadership team at ITV’s internal creative agency.

Tom Houser’s Background and Achievements

Houser brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having led multiple award-winning projects for clients such as British Airways, Pinterest, and The Guardian. His tenure at Uncommon London, lasting over four years, included significant work with ITV on the “Britain Get Talking” campaign, the most recognized mental health initiative in the UK. He also contributed to the BBC Creative team for a year as a freelance Creative Director, where he focused on relaunching “Doctor Who” and contributed to projects like “Planet Earth III,” “Radio 1,” and “The Tourist.”

Responsibilities and Goals

In his role at ITV Creative, Houser will oversee the largest department within the agency. He is charged with enhancing the creative quality throughout ITV, especially with the introduction of ITVX. He aims to establish a forward-thinking vision for the team and ensure that the agency’s output is digital-first. Working closely with various departments, Houser is set to ensure that all briefs produce innovative work. His addition strengthens the leadership team at ITV Creative, alongside leaders in Campaign Management, Campaign Production, Post Production, and the newly appointed Head of Creative Strategy.
