Slovakian broadcaster TV Markíza has completed a new studio upgrade by installing Leyard TVF video walls in its News studio and Leyard CarbonLight CLI and CLI Flex screens in The Morning Show studio.
These upgrades aim to add functional versatility, allowing the studio to easily switch between news, weather, and talk show formats.
History of Leyard’s Partnership with TV Markíza
Leyard’s relationship with TV Markíza began in 2017, with the installation of three Leyard TVH series video walls in the News studio. Later, Leyard was selected to supply technology for a 2019 studio expansion. Although delayed by the pandemic, the Good Morning studio installation concluded in late 2020.
Recent Renovation and Strategic Local Partnership
Talks for the latest News studio renovation started in September 2022. Given the established cooperation, TV Markíza chose Leyard again, working closely with the project architect. Architect Jaroslav Holota highlighted the advantage of Leyard’s European manufacturing facility in Slovakia, enabling local support and efficient communication.
Adjusted Project Timeline Due to Upcoming Events
Originally scheduled for later completion, the project was fast-tracked to accommodate two elections and other significant events. Installation of the new TVF wall was completed during a quieter period last summer.
Technical Features of Leyard TVF Series
The Leyard TVF Series is designed for broadcast applications with its fine pixel pitch, front serviceability, and stackable design. Its low latency and high refresh rates suit live broadcasting, and the redundant power and backup control systems support reliable performance. The screens’ modular frame design allows for a curved configuration, enhancing visual appeal without the need for extra cabinet cabling.
Improved On-Camera Appearance
The enhanced brightness and improved visual quality of the screens contribute to a more effective on-camera presence, enabling TV Markíza to maintain high production standards across its news and journalism programs.
