Anthony Morelli has been appointed as the new President of USSI Global, effective immediately. This follows his successful four-year tenure as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Morelli will now report directly to CEO David S. Christiano, managing daily operations across USSI Global’s three core business units: broadcast and networking solutions, digital signage solutions, and electronic business and consumer solutions. All departmental leaders in areas such as operations, finance, revenue, and administration will report to Morelli.
Career Background
Morelli joined USSI Global in 2020 after a 25-year career that included leadership roles at Harris Corporation, Artel Video Systems, and Avid Technology. He started his career in finance and gradually transitioned into customer-facing and executive roles, gaining experience that has equipped him to oversee USSI Global’s business operations effectively.
Achievements as COO
As COO, Morelli played a key role in more than doubling USSI Global’s revenue and earnings over the past four years. He led the planning and execution of several major projects, including the FCC’s C-Band Transition Clearing and Relocation Plan, and a nationwide digital menu board upgrade for a prominent quick-service restaurant chain.
Managed Service Layer Expansion
Morelli was also instrumental in launching USSI Global’s managed service layer, creating a recurring revenue model through extended service level agreements. He expanded the company’s team of field technicians and enhanced the Network Operations Center (NOC) to offer managed services, including preventative maintenance and remote 24/7 monitoring. He strengthened collaboration between the company’s three business units to create new business opportunities.
Future Initiatives
Looking ahead, USSI Global is preparing for upcoming multi-year initiatives, including low-orbit earth (LEO) satellite deployments aimed at providing broadband connectivity to underserved communities.
Statements from Leadership
CEO David S. Christiano stated that Morelli’s proven leadership and vision made him the clear choice for the role of President, where he will oversee global business operations. John Hollingsworth, Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in Morelli’s ability to lead the company’s day-to-day operations.
