Collaboration Highlights at NAB Show 2024
For several years, Utah Scientific and Apantac have maintained a close working relationship. Their collaboration has resulted in combining Apantac’s video processing and multiviewer technology expertise with Utah Scientific’s knowledge in routing switchers and broadcast infrastructure. These collaborative efforts will be showcased at the NAB Show in Las Vegas in 2024.
Technical Integration for Enhanced Functionality
The partnership has led to the integration of Utah Scientific protocols into Apantac’s multiviewers. This integration enables effective communication and interaction with Utah Scientific routing switchers. Specifically, the Under-monitor display (UMD) protocols allow for the display of source name information next to video feeds on the multiviewers’ UMDs, thereby improving operational efficiency and simplifying the monitoring and control processes in broadcast and production settings.
Furthermore, Utah Scientific has integrated Apantac’s multiviewer software into its hardware panels, which enables engineers to create and access custom viewing presets easily. This seamless integration offers joint customers improved functionality, more options in broadcast workflows, and increased scalability in visual monitoring systems.
Executives Express Commitment to Innovation
Thomas Tang, President of Apantac, emphasized the company’s commitment to open architecture, supporting additional protocols and products in response to market demands. He expressed satisfaction with the partnership with Utah Scientific, highlighting the shared goal of driving technology innovation and offering customers flexible, feature-rich solutions.
