At the beginning of 2023, Viltrox launched a series of compact cine lenses for E-mount and Micro Four Thirds cameras. Following this, they released the EPIC T2.0 1.33x anamorphic lens set designed for full-frame cameras. Features of the Viltrox Zmove Diopters SetThe new Viltrox Zmove Series Cine Lens Diopters Set includes four filters with varying magnification levels (+0.5, +1, +2, +3). These filters are designed to reduce the minimum focus distance of cinema lenses, allowing closer macro shots. However, using these filters will affect the lens’s ability to focus on distant objects.
The filters have a clamp-on design, similar to the Vaxis 114mm diopters, and can be attached to any cinema lens with a front outer diameter of 114mm. The kit includes three adapters for compatibility with lenses that have front outer diameters of 80mm, 95mm, or 110mm.
The filters can be stacked to achieve greater magnification, but stacking may cause vignetting, especially with wide-angle lenses. Each filter consists of two glass elements bonded together and housed in an aluminum alloy frame. The optical design features nano multi-layer coatings to maintain image quality. The kit also includes front and rear caps to protect the filters, and the glass surfaces have waterproof and anti-fouling treatments.
