Vislink has been selected as a finalist for the IBC 2024 Innovation Awards.
This recognition is due to its partnership with FocalPoint VR and ASPIRE, where they co-developed an advanced virtual reality over RF wireless solution for the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) series that started last April.
Low-Latency RF Wireless Technology
Vislink’s RF wireless technology enabled low-latency video and data communication between A2RL race cars and their control systems. This solution allows fans to experience real-time VR views from the cockpit of autonomous race cars through their headsets, whether they are at the race or at home.
Innovation in Motorsport Entertainment
The collaboration between Vislink and FocalPoint VR represents a significant advancement in motorsport entertainment. By utilizing proven communication and virtual reality technology platforms, they enhance the experience of autonomous racing, offering new opportunities for fan engagement.
Global Recognition at IBC 2024
The IBC 2024 Innovation Awards highlight notable media technology projects from around the globe. They celebrate collaborative efforts that provide innovative solutions to challenges in the Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry and emphasize social and environmental sustainability.
