Vizrt has announced the upcoming release of Viz Engine 5, the world’s most powerful live graphics tool.
Designed to facilitate the production of live graphics, it provides access to adaptive graphics, an intelligent, automated way to deploy graphics in multiple output formats simultaneously, saving time, effort and streamlining your workflow.
“Producing for multiple platforms and using multiple virtual graphics methods has meant inefficiency and inconvenience so far. With Viz Engine 5, we have turned challenges into opportunities, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for our customers,” said Gerhard Lang, CTO of Vizrt.
Viz Engine 5 also offers the most advanced integration with Unreal Engine 5, allowing you to combine two rendering paths into one incredibly powerful graphics workflow that is more than just its parts. This groundbreaking opportunity provides artists with previously unimaginable creative possibilities; created from the closely intertwined resources of both render blades rendered in real time in the same scene.
Responsive Graphics is a single workflow, multi-platform content delivery that automatically adjusts resolution, format, and layout to support specific display devices, ensuring graphics are optimized for the viewer. This real-time graphics revolution effectively allows graphic artists to create once and publish multiple times, saving time, reducing errors and improving output quality.
Once the templates are customized to produce the desired result, content creators can be confident that the graphics will be impressive, readable, and perfect for whatever destination they’re headed to. Responsive graphics also provide a better look and feel and a unified identity across all platforms, protecting any media provider’s most valuable asset; brand.
Viz Engine 5 is a completely redesigned integration with Unreal Engine, offering workflow and output so fluid that it’s easy for artists and natural for viewers. Virtual graphics designers can now take advantage of Unreal Engine in large-scale virtual environments that are ideally combined with detailed interiors and objects, as well as data-driven graphics from Viz Engine.
Integration with Unreal Engine 5 is not limited to a mixed result in the final product – the entire user experience for designers and producers working with virtual graphics was taken into account. For an artist, working with assets or settings and reconciling them is a seamless and global process, and project settings for Unreal are automatically adjusted to ensure error-free setup and save artist time.
During production, assets are dynamically loaded into any rendering engine for high performance, the talent tracking system is unified to improve on-air quality, and Fusion Keyer data, the best color difference key on the market, is available worldwide.
As with any major release of the Viz Engine, the benefits to the customer are not limited to the two main features. Users get access to a completely redesigned clip playback, a seamless set of HDR workflows, video I/O that caters for all relevant formats, advanced PBR import options, and a host of other features and benefits designed to streamline live production workflows for broadcasters.
Viz Engine 5 will be available to the general public from September 2022.
