Waves Audio: Cloud MX Audio Mixer

Waves Audio has announced Cloud MX, a 100% cloud-based audio mixer that offers high fidelity audio processing remote control and full integration of Wave plugins.

The solution is easily integrated into NDI-based cloud production environments and deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using a dedicated Waves Central application. It allows scaling infrastructures with any number of mixers without additional operating costs associated with delivery, maintenance, involvement of stationary equipment and technical personnel.

The Waves Cloud MX Audio Mixer is powered by a cloud-based version of Waves’ double-precision, 32-bit-floating-point eMotion LV1 mix engine, and augmented by Waves’ industry-leading arsenal of audio plugins.

Waves Cloud MX makes it easy to scale productions with any number of audio mixers, without the operational costs involved in shipping, maintaining or scheduling on-premise gear and personnel. It fits cleanly into NDI-based environments, supporting easy patching and routing of NDI audio streams, and is easily deployed on AWS, making integration with your cloud production systems a breeze.

All Cloud MX packages come with the powerful Waves eMo plugins (eMo D5 Dynamics, eMo F2 Filter, and eMo Q4 Equalizer), which form the mixer’s channel strip for a fast, efficient workflow.

Waves Cloud MX Premium expands your audio capabilities even further, with a staggering arsenal of over 150 cloud-licensed plugins covering every aspect of broadcast audio mixing—including the Dugan Speech Automixer for auto-mixing multiple mics, Primary Source Expander for automatic mic bleed elimination, advanced multiband processors like the C6 compressor and Vitamin, plus a comprehensive collection of processors for noise suppression, feedback elimination, surgical EQs, multiple varieties of compression, de-essing, gating and limiting, pro-grade metering plugins, bass and sub-bass enhancement, sonic enhancers, and diverse audio effects.

Cloud MX also allows broadcasters to bring a new level of audio fidelity, flexibility, and control to your Broadcast production. The mixer’s control options include multiple touchscreen support, plus tactile mixing with the Waves FIT controller and/or Mackie/MIDI controllers.
