He highlights the device’s versatility and top-tier IFB functionality as key to its selection.

Dante Network Backbone and Equipment Utilization
The arena’s audio and intercom systems heavily rely on the Dante network protocol. Over 50 Dante-enabled devices, including two Allen & Heath audio consoles with stage boxes and multiple Studio Technologies Model 5422As, form an integral part of this network.

Features of the Model 5422A Dante Intercom Audio Engine
The Model 5422A Dante Intercom Audio Engine is recognized for its high performance, cost-effectiveness, and adaptability. Primarily used in conjunction with Dante-compatible devices, it excels in creating party-line intercom circuits. It is also versatile in general audio, broadcast mixing, IFB applications, and various interfacing needs. This model requires only power and Ethernet connections to operate effectively and is available in two variants: one with 32 input/output channels and another with 64.
