Win Sports, Colombia’s top sports broadcaster, has implemented Appear’s X Platform for distributing its Win Sports and Win+ channels in both HEVC and AVC formats to broadcast platforms nationwide.
This upgrade enhances their ability to deliver high-quality sports content, combining satellite distribution with IP-based transport for greater flexibility. The X Platform is now key to delivering a wide range of sports events, including the Mundial Sub-15 Baseball, the Colombian Professional Basketball League, and FPC soccer content.
With the X Platform’s ability to integrate satellite and IP transmissions, Win Sports can cater to operators using either technology. This solution has expanded Win Sports’ partnerships, allowing cable operators without satellite infrastructure to offer premium sports content, thus widening the reach across Colombia and LATAM. The deployment also supports the broadcaster’s mission of democratizing access to sports coverage in the region.
Appear’s collaboration with Win Sports underscores their commitment to advancing IP-based sports broadcasting, empowering broadcasters with innovative solutions.
