Wisycom Reveals MTK982 Updates at 2024 NAMM Show
Wisycom MTK982

Wisycom, renowned for creating advanced RF solutions, is set to display the latest advancements in its MTK982 dual-wideband stereo IEM/IFB transmitter at the 2024 NAMM Show, Booth 18504.

The MTK982 stands out in the market with its unparalleled switching bandwidth of up to 300 MHz, allowing users to select the optimal frequency globally. The latest iteration introduces a revamped user experience with significant improvements in the interface, including the front panel status page and customizable menus.

Enhanced User Interface and Control
The updated MTK982 features new font designs for clearer visibility of essential details such as the transmitter’s name, frequency, and TX status. The front panel LCD screen now prominently displays vital parameters like receiver type, audio output, IP address, and RF power information. To cater to different user needs, the menu offers two modes: a ‘Basic Mode’ for simpler operations and an ‘Advanced Mode’ for more complex functionalities.

Feedback-Inspired Updates
John Kowalski, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Wisycom Inc., highlights the user excitement around the MTK982’s advanced features since its recent launch. These enhancements are a direct response to user feedback. The company eagerly anticipates demonstrating these features and the transmitter’s wideband capabilities at the 2024 NAMM Show.

DIGICOM Compatibility and Versatile Modulation
The MTK982 is not just about wideband RF functionality; it also includes DIGICOM multi-brand compatibility software, facilitating integration with various third-party receivers. It supports diverse modulation types, including stereo, mono, and intercom audio, and offers an optional redundant power supply. Its output power can reach up to 2 Watts.

Superior Audio Quality with Minimal Interference
Notable for its high-quality audio output and extremely low spurious emissions, the MTK982 is capable of generating multiple RF modulations. This makes it a perfect fit for a range of live music events and productions. The transmitter’s advanced features include wideband intermodulation phase cancellation and a Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) signal, ensuring top-notch signal quality in an IEM/IFB transmitter.

Long-Range Transmission Capabilities
The MTK982 also features Stationary Wave Ratio (SWR) sensing on antenna outputs and operates within a 470-770 MHz frequency range in Europe (470-663 MHz in North America). When paired with the BFLT1 transmitter and BFLR1 receiver, it can transmit signals over fiber optics to remote locations with minimal latency. Equipped with multi-companding DSP audio processing, both analog and digital AES3 inputs, and primary/secondary outputs for distributed applications, the MTK982 is poised to become an essential component in professional audio systems.
