Witbe: Advanced ABR Stream Technology

Witbe is set to unveil its ABR Stream Analysis technology at the 2024 NAB Show. This new technology enhances the existing capabilities of the company’s Witbox+ by analyzing interactions between video applications and their network environments.

The technology provides service providers with detailed insights into how Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) streaming impacts user experience.

Enhanced Monitoring Capabilities

The technology extends Witbe’s ability to test and monitor the quality of experience on actual devices, such as smart TVs and mobile phones, by adding network layer analysis. It can automatically check for the availability of video profiles, audio, and subtitle tracks in streaming assets. This allows service providers to gain a deeper understanding of streaming performance and potential issues.

CEO Comments and Technology Details

Mathieu Planche, the CEO of Witbe, stated that the ABR Stream Analysis technology, developed in conjunction with their new Ad Monitoring and Matching technology, represents a progression in their mission to provide precise testing and monitoring solutions for video services. He expressed his enthusiasm about introducing this innovative technology to enhance the functionality of the Witbox+, which is touted as the market’s most advanced automated testing device.
