New Z-Finder from Zacuto for the Sony BURANO Camera

Zacuto has released an updated Z-Finder tailored for the Sony BURANO camera.

This new viewfinder replaces the camera’s original version and is specifically designed to work seamlessly with the camera’s monitor, offering a more practical alternative to the detachable loupe included with the camera.

Sony BURANO’s 8K Innovation at IBC2023 The Sony BURANO, an 8K digital cinema camera, was notably featured at IBC2023. It boasts a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD, which is highly efficient. However, the standard loupe provided with the camera needs to be removed to use the touchscreen functionality, leading to operational inconveniences.

Zacuto’s Custom Solution for BURANO Addressing this issue, Zacuto has developed a Z-Finder that is custom-made for the BURANO’s LCD screen. This design allows users to swiftly flip up the Z-Finder to access the camera’s touchscreen menu, bypassing the hassle associated with the removable loupe. The Z-Finder is designed to easily slide onto the LCD, offering a snap-on and snap-off mechanism. It can also flip up to use the LCD screen without needing to detach the Z-Finder. Importantly, it is compatible with the Sony viewfinder’s mounting arm, while Zacuto’s mounting arm is uniquely crafted for the BURANO model.

Enhanced Features of the Zacuto Z-Finder The Zacuto Z-Finder enhances the LCD view by 2.5 times and includes several features: a 40mm lens, a diopter adjustment wheel, two anti-fog coating covers, a comfortable, larger eyecup, a lens cap, a sun mask, a protective boot, a dust cover, and two extender frames.

Growing Market for Sony BURANO Accessories The increasing number of third-party accessories being developed for the Sony BURANO underscores the camera’s growing significance in the realms of filmmaking, video production, equipment rental, and more.

Convenient and Efficient: Zacuto’s Z-Finder The Zacuto Z-Finder for the Sony BURANO is emerging as a highly convenient and user-friendly option. It significantly simplifies accessing the camera’s touchscreen LCD, especially when compared to the process of removing the standard loupe.
