Zaxcom has unveiled its latest product, the VRX1 VHF IFB audio receiver, targeting professionals in the film, television, and broadcast sectors.

This device is engineered to provide audio monitoring and cueing capabilities in a compact, durable, and user-friendly format.

The VRX1 is packed with features designed to optimize user experience and performance in demanding environments. It includes a voice prompt system for hands-free operation, a unique voting mechanism for signal strength optimization, frame-specific audio delay adjustments, an adaptive squelch system for noise reduction, headphone equalization for improved sound quality, and versatile power options to suit various operational needs. All these are encased in a lightweight and robust frame for reliability.

As a state-of-the-art FM analog receiver, the VRX1 employs a direct conversion technique that enhances audio reception while minimizing RF interference, thus extending the device’s battery life. It also supports direct recharging of NiMH batteries via a USB-C port, which can additionally power the device. An optional VRX Dual Charger is available for convenient charging of two units simultaneously.
