Adobe Releases Premiere Pro 24.2 Update with New Features

Adobe has recently updated its video editing software, Premiere Pro, to version 24.2. This latest version introduces several new features and improvements, enhancing the overall editing experience for users.

One of the significant updates includes the integration of the AI-powered “Enhance Speech” feature, which is now officially available after being in beta. Located within the Essential Sound panel, this function utilizes artificial intelligence to reduce noise in audio recordings, thereby improving the clarity and crispness of voices.

Direct Publishing to TikTok

Premiere Pro 24.2 also introduces the ability to publish content directly to TikTok. Users can find this functionality under the “Destinations” section of the “Export” tab, where they can also add text, captions, hashtags, and keywords before posting to the platform.

Proxy Workflow Enhancements

The update streamlines the proxy creation process by introducing a new “Frame size” dropdown in the “Create Proxies” dialogue. This allows users to select the resolution for proxies to match, half, or quarter the resolution of the original media, along with a custom option for specific resolution requirements. The update also expands the list of proxy format presets to include various formats like H.264, ProRes, Cineform, and DNxHR.

Additional Features and Support

Other improvements include the ability to sync new color font options from Adobe Fonts into the Essential Graphics panel and full emoji support on macOS. Moreover, with the release of the Sony BURANO, Premiere Pro now supports X-OCN and XAVC formats recorded by the new camera, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of video formats.

Pricing and Availability

The Premiere Pro 24.2 update is available for free to existing subscribers via the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. New users can subscribe to Premiere Pro on Adobe’s website, with plans starting at $22.99 per month.
