Background and Role

Williams, who now reports to Adam Griffin, the Director of Sales and Business Development for North America, is celebrated for his extensive background in the AV industry. His career has seen him assume roles of escalating importance across notable AV brands, primarily in customer-oriented positions. Training and Support

In his new capacity, Williams will collaborate with the North American training team to offer educational services in various formats, including online, on-site, and at Panduit’s Tinley Park headquarters in Illinois. The Tinley Park Experience Centre, known for its comprehensive hands-on training on Atlona’s product range, is a focal point for his training endeavors. While Williams is poised to contribute to Atlona’s sales efforts through his sales engineering acumen, his primary enthusiasm lies in advancing the company’s training programs.

Training: A Crucial Industry Function

Williams emphasizes the importance of training within the rapidly evolving AV industry, highlighting the continuous introduction of new products and the transition towards hybrid learning and work environments. This evolution has fundamentally altered the approach to AV system design, installation, and usage. He advocates for the significance of education on integrating AV, USB, and control systems to address the needs of the AV and IT integration community effectively.

The Future of Training

While foreseeing the growth of virtual training offerings, Williams acknowledges the unique value provided by in-person training sessions at the Experience Centre. He suggests that direct interaction with Atlona’s product line can significantly benefit those navigating AV over IP environments or planning large-scale installations.
