Qligent: Vision 5

Qligent Announces Vision 5 at NAB Show 2024

Qligent is set to showcase its latest software, Vision 5, at the NAB Show 2024. This new release represents a significant advancement in monitoring and analysis capabilities for media enterprises.

Vision 5 is engineered on a cloud-native, microservices framework designed to enhance the operations of broadcast, cable, satellite, and OTT/streaming networks. The software will be presented in Meeting Room W2079 at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Centre from April 14-16.

Designed for Modern Media Needs

Vision 5 was created to fulfill the growing demand for comprehensive monitoring throughout next-generation broadcast and Multichannel Video Programming Distributor (MVPD) networks. It offers detailed visibility across the entire media supply chain. By employing a microservices strategy, Vision 5 enables large businesses to focus on specific media services such as Quality of Experience (QoE), Quality of Service (QoS), and compliance monitoring tailored to particular media workflows, audiences, or subscribers. This approach is particularly advantageous for broadcasters and MVPDs transitioning to hybrid network models that are operated remotely.

Features and Flexibility

Brick Eksten, CEO of Qligent, emphasizes that Vision 5’s microservices framework supports the shift towards hybrid networks, facilitating scalability through cloud-native tools. This allows for effective deployment of Vision as high-performance microservices without the need for traditional forklift virtualization. Vision 5 is integrated with customer networks through open standards and modern APIs, enabling direct deployment and monitoring. This integration positions Vision as a central tool for analytics, alerts, and notifications, scaling to enterprise levels and accommodating large, distributed architectures.

Enhanced Monitoring and Analysis

Furthermore, Vision 5 introduces an advanced solution for monitoring ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 signals, offering consistent quality assurance for both standards from a unified dashboard. The software also incorporates a detailed analytics platform, providing users with access to comprehensive performance data across the media supply chain up to the delivery point, thereby facilitating a deeper understanding and control over their operations.
