CAME-TV Debuts CAME-NANO

CAME-TV Introduces CAME-NANO: A Compact Wireless Intercom System

CAME-TV has unveiled the CAME-NANO, a newly developed wireless intercom system known for its full-duplex capabilities and sleek design.

This system is capable of achieving a line-of-sight range of up to 335 meters (1100 feet) and can facilitate communication in groups of up to five devices without a hub, and up to 20 devices with an additional hub. Now available for purchase, the starting price for a single unit is $163.

A Solution for Efficient On-Set Communication

In the realm of film production, particularly during multi-camera shoots or when managing several crew members on set, the need for efficient communication is paramount. While there are several high-end, costly options available, the market has recently seen the introduction of more affordable solutions. Among these, the Hollyland Solidcom C1 Pro system has been noted. Continuing this trend, CAME-TV has launched the CAME-NANO, offering a more compact option for full-duplex wireless communication.

Understanding CAME-NANO’s Features

The CAME-NANO system consists of two device types: master and host. A setup requires one master unit to manage up to four host units, enabling seamless communication for a group. The term “full-duplex” highlights the system’s ability to handle simultaneous send and receive audio signals without the need to press a button, similar to a standard cellphone conversation. The devices use Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology.

Highlighting its compact design, each CAME-NANO device weighs 64 grams (2.25 ounces) and measures 7 by 6 centimeters (2.75 by 2.36 inches). The design is minimalist, with just three buttons for volume control and muting. The master and host units are distinguished by the color of button symbols, with the master featuring red symbols.

Technical Specifications and Usability

CAME-NANO is equipped with a built-in microphone, speaker, and a 3.5mm TRRS port for external headset connections. The internal battery is rated at 3.7V, 1100mAh, offering up to 15 hours of talk time for host devices and up to 8 hours for the master unit. Charging is facilitated through a USB-C port. The system boasts zero latency audio transmission and includes noise reduction features. It operates within specific frequency ranges, depending on the region (CE for Europe and FCC for the USA).

Multiple carrying options are provided, including hanging, clipping, or handheld use, with a removable clip that works with an included velcro strap or lanyard.

Options for Larger Groups and Pricing Details

To accommodate larger groups or multiple independent groups, two master devices can be interconnected using a 3.5mm audio cable, supporting communication for 6 to 8 people. Additionally, a hub is available to extend the system’s capacity up to 20 participants. CAME-TV ensures that the CAME-NANO system is compatible with other CAME-TV communication systems.

The pricing for the CAME-NANO system varies depending on the kit configuration, with options ranging from a single master or host unit at $163, to a comprehensive 20-kit package for $2,970. These kits are now available for order in both US and EU versions
