CineArray has unveiled its state-of-the-art 8-camera cinematic array, featuring 8x RED V-Raptors paired with Zeiss CP.3 lenses.
This launch marks CineArray’s emergence as an independent entity from the CineGroup umbrella. The new rig, a significant investment for CineArray, was made possible with the support of CVP and CVF (Creative Vision Finance).
Dani Rose, Director and Chief Pilot at CineArray, emphasized the uniqueness of the equipment, stating, “Building the RED Raptor rig would have been much harder without partners like CVP and CVF.”
The multi-camera array is designed for creating immersive 360-degree environments, LED volume backgrounds, and specialized VFX shots. Each of the 8x RED V-Raptor cameras delivers an 8K image, which is combined in post-production to offer a full 360° high-resolution view. These cameras are equipped with Zeiss CP.3 XD 21mm T/2.9 lenses, chosen for their superior image quality and lightweight design, crucial for aerial or vehicle-mounted operations.
This cutting-edge array has already been employed in major upcoming releases and is slated for more high-profile projects this summer.
