This package combines the Z-HD6500 HD camera with the CU-HD550 camera control unit, catering to a broad range of budgets while offering exceptional value in terms of cost versus performance for live content acquisition.
Tailored for Versatility and Quality
Designed to support various HD formats up to 1080p, the Z-HD6500 camera stands out for its ability to simplify the production process and reduce costs without compromising on the quality and technical advancements associated with Hitachi’s brand. The camera boasts three 2/3-inch CMOS image sensors equipped with global shutter technology. This feature is pivotal in capturing high-quality, BT.2020 color gamut compliant video, eliminating common issues such as banding and flicker in environments with LED lighting or displays.
Additionally, the Z-HD6500 excels in low-light conditions, offering an F10 sensitivity at 59.94 fps and a signal-to-noise ratio of 62dB, ensuring clear and noise-free images. Its design prioritizes exceptional color reproduction and supports a versatile HD workflow, compatible with both High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) productions.
Enhanced Control and Monitoring Capabilities
The CU-HD550 camera control unit, specifically re-engineered to complement the Z-HD6500, facilitates precise and dependable remote operation of the camera, preserving the high-quality output. It accommodates HDR and SDR outputs and provides dual return video feeds for immediate on-site monitoring. The integration of a built-in cross-converter and frame synchronizer in the CU-HD550 enables these feeds to be directly displayed on the Z-HD6500’s viewfinder, enhancing the camera operator’s experience.
Availability and Presentation at NAB Show
Having been introduced at the NAB Show 2023, the Z-HD6500 is now available for purchase.
