Exclusive interview with Jassim Nalakam Parambil, Vice President of Sales at Unilumin Middle East and Africa, at Cabsat 2024.
TKT1957: What innovations and products does your company present at the exhibition?
Jassim Nalakam Parambil: This year marks our 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of innovation. Our focus this year is on MIP (Mini LED in Package) and COB (Chip on Board) technologies, specifically the UMicro and UMini III Pro products that use COB technology.
We presented our cutting-edge COB products, intelligent conferencing solutions, and creative rental displays, attracting significant attention from the on-site audience.
On display at the booth were the UMicro and UMini III Pro products utilizing COB technology. With the utilization of the cutting-edge EBL+ technology and a flip chip common cathode design, these products achieve a contrast ratio of up to 30,000:1, ensuring deeper blacks and brighter whites. Additionally, they feature energy-saving sleep functions and module short-circuit protection mechanisms, guaranteeing both high energy efficiency and enhanced stability, making the products safer and more reliable during application.
We have displays with pixel pitches ranging from 0.4 to 0.9. These innovations include cold scam rugged displays, low power consumption, and common cathode technology, among many other unique aspects that represent the latest trends in the industry.
TKT1957: What are the main trends in broadcast, cinema, and Pro AV, in your opinion?
Jassim Nalakam Parambil: I believe creative displays are gaining significant market traction. Previously, the focus was on fixed installations with standard shapes, but now there is a growing interest in creative designs. Architects are incorporating creative elements during the early stages of projects. We have seen a rise in small pixel pitch cabinets, such as 0.9 or 1.2, with curves or various shapes and sizes. Creativity is now a prominent feature in many products and projects.
