Laowa has expanded its lens offerings by introducing new mount options suitable for DJI drones and the Ronin 4D.
The lenses highlighted are the 11mm f/4.5 FF RL and the 14mm f/4 FF RL Zero-D. These are full-frame, ultra-wide lenses known for their compact size and light weight, enhancing drone usage by reducing payload and improving stability.
Specifications and Features
The 11mm lens, weighing 206 grams, features a 62mm filter thread, while the 14mm lens is slightly lighter at 186 grams with a 52mm filter thread. Both are designed to provide sharp image quality with minimal distortion. The 11mm lens offers a 126° angle of view, making it the widest rectilinear lens for full-frame cameras using the DJI DL mount.
Utility for Drone Pilots
Both lenses come equipped with a built-in filter thread. This design allows drone pilots to attach ND filters directly to the lenses without needing additional holders, which simplifies the setup and further reduces weight.
Additional Lenses with XCD Mounts
Laowa also introduced new lenses with Hasselblad XCD mounts. These include the 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift, the widest shift lens available for full-frame and medium format cameras, perfect for architectural photography. The 20mm f/4 Zero-D Shift and the 19mm f/2.8 Zero-D are also available, offering wide angles and minimal distortion, ideal for real estate and landscape photography.
Pricing and Availability
These lenses are now available for purchase through Venus Optics’ official website and authorized resellers. The 11mm and 14mm lenses are priced at $549 and $449, respectively, in the DJI DL mount. The 15mm, 20mm, and 19mm lenses in XCD mount are priced at $1,199, $1,099, and $999, respectively. Prices may vary by country.
