New Features in Limecraft Platform to Debut at MPTS 2024

Limecraft is set to display the latest updates to its online platform at the upcoming Media Production & Technology Show, which will take place on May 15-16, 2024, at London Olympia.

The new version of Limecraft’s platform, which will be available starting May 7, includes significant improvements to the Delivery Workspace supply chain management solution. These updates are designed to streamline the content delivery process and enhance communication between content suppliers and recipients.

Advancements in Subtitling

The update also introduces new features to Limecraft’s subtitling tools. According to Nico Oorts, the Head of Product, these developments include automatic alignment of subtitles with shot changes and adjustments for different frame rates and timecodes, which will reduce the need for manual modifications. The update also expands the range of supported subtitle formats and introduces an Automatic Speaker Colouring Mode, which applies colors to subtitles based on the speaker.

Enhanced Security and Workflow in Delivery Workspace

Additional upgrades to the Delivery Workspace solution improve the robustness and security of content delivery. Features such as a new Activity Feed provide an audit trail of all interactions with content, while a comments feature facilitates better contextual understanding during critical exchanges like submission, approval, and rejection.

Future Focus on Media Intelligence

Maarten Verwaest, co-founder of Limecraft, outlined the company’s ongoing commitment to integrating AI into their services. The focus will continue on enhancing their Media Intelligence platform, which aims to provide comprehensive and valuable metadata to help professionals efficiently utilize, manage, and monetize media content. Verwaest emphasized the importance of metadata quality over quantity and indicated that these developments will be previewed at MPTS 2024, where they look forward to engaging with attendees.
