Nautel’s VX series of FM transmitters, which provide power outputs from 150 watts to 6,000 watts, has been well-received in the market, with nearly 1,000 units shipped since its introduction last year.
Nautel has revealed plans to enhance the VX series by integrating audio player and playlist functions. This upgrade will allow users to upload and manage audio content directly through an IP connection, eliminating the need for physical media like USBs, additional cards, or onsite adjustments. The integrated audio player will also serve as a backup for audio loss, using the playlists as its source. This new feature is expected to be available later in the year.
Industry Endorsements and Future Plans
John Whyte, the head of Marketing and Product Strategy at Nautel, expressed gratitude for the strong global customer support for the VX series, highlighting its popularity in large N+1 setups. He emphasized the advantages of Nautel’s products, including their North American manufacturing quality, comprehensive support, and the company’s stable financial approach which ensures long-term availability of parts and service. Whyte also noted that the upcoming audio player feature is a continuation of Nautel’s tradition of innovation, which began with its introduction to their transmitters more than ten years ago.
