The Bregenz Festival significantly increased its deployment of Riedel communications and media distribution technologies.
The systems include Bolero wireless intercoms, the Artist digital matrix intercom, and MediorNet real-time media network. These tools enable clear communication and coordination across all festival departments.
Operational Coordination
Over 60 Bolero beltpacks and more than 20 antennas support reliable intercom connectivity. Five Artist frames, including 1024, 128, 64, and two 32-port frames, allow flexible routing across multiple teams. MediorNet provides real-time video distribution, including visual links between the conductor and performers.
Audio-Visual Deployment
For the production of Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber, the festival used 400 loudspeakers and 24 subwoofers. Advanced mixing consoles and directional audio systems delivered precise sound localization and high-quality immersive effects.

System Integration
Integrator PKE supplied and installed the complete stage management system. The company ensured seamless interoperability between Bolero, Artist, and MediorNet systems, meeting the festival’s complex technical requirements.
Future Plans
The Bregenz Festival intends to continue scaling Riedel systems to support increasingly complex productions, improve operational efficiency, and maintain high-quality audio-visual transmission across all departments.
