ENCO: Advanced Automated Captioning Tech

ENCO is set to showcase enCaption Sierra, its latest innovation in automated captioning technology, at the NAB Show 2024.

This event will take place from Sunday to Wednesday at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. enCaption Sierra represents a significant advancement in AI-driven live captioning, achieving new levels of speed and accuracy.

Features and Capabilities

The new system integrates ENCO’s leading captioning technology with an SDI captioning encoder, offering a comprehensive solution for both on-premises and cloud-based environments. enCaption Sierra is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems and features a modern, user-friendly interface accessible via web browser. This interface includes a calendar scheduler and adjustable settings such as custom dictionaries, word models, and bilingual language options.

Technological Enhancements

ENCO has enhanced enCaption Sierra with parallel processing capabilities that utilize GPU power, significantly boosting the performance of its AI-based speech-to-text engine. This upgrade facilitates the production of faster and more precise captions. Additionally, the integrated enTranslate module now supports real-time captioning in up to 37 languages simultaneously, with the addition of three new languages just in time for the NAB Show.

Improved Performance in Diverse Conditions

The latest version of the system also features improved detection of speaker changes and environmental sounds like music and applause. These enhancements make enCaption Sierra highly effective in diverse audio environments, accurately processing fast speech, strong accents, and noisy backgrounds to produce clear and reliable captions.
