Grass Valley Hybrid Production at NAB Show 2026

Grass Valley Hybrid Production at NAB Show 2026

Grass Valley will highlight expanded media infrastructure capabilities at NAB Show 2026.

The company will focus on routing, signal processing, and orchestration in one operational layer. Grass Valley says this approach is built for hardware and software-defined environments across SDI, IP, and cloud workflows.

The company is centering this setup on the ACE-3901 gateway card, AMPP Orchestration, and AMPP OS. According to Grass Valley, these elements allow ingest, routing, processing, and control to work together across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Grass Valley says the ACE-3901-GRID application is one of the main updates being shown in Las Vegas. The company says this application extends high-density connectivity from SDI infrastructure into AMPP OS.

With AMPP OS now MXL-native, Grass Valley says users get a more direct path between dedicated hardware resources and software-defined workflows. In addition, the company says AMPP Orchestration creates a unified control layer across baseband, IP, and cloud-connected environments.

Adam Marshall, Chief Product Officer at Grass Valley, said hybrid production is no longer a future model. He said it is now becoming standard operation. He also said customers need a simpler way to connect legacy systems with modern workflows without adding complexity.

According to Marshall, Grass Valley is using AMPP OS, ACE-3901, and AMPP Orchestration to bring hardware and software workflows into one operational experience.

Grass Valley says signals now move across baseband, local IP, and remote compressed sources. Because of that, routing and control have become more complex in modern production environments.

To address this, the company says AMPP Orchestration brings multi-format and multi-platform routing into one shared environment. As a result, operators can manage a wider range of signal types in one place.

Grass Valley also says TSL Hummingbird provides protocol conversion for operations built on existing infrastructure. This allows AMPP applications to manage legacy systems alongside software-defined workflows. Therefore, customers can modernize without replacing established control layers.

Grass Valley says AMPP OS now supports NDI 6.3 and Dante audio streams natively. The company also says users can receive contribution sources from TVU MediaMesh and participant video streams through Zoom ISOcloud in the same environment.

According to Grass Valley, this reduces operational overhead and lowers the need for extra receiver devices. In this way, the company is aiming to simplify hybrid and distributed production setups.

Grass Valley at NAB Show 2026 with LayerCake and scaling

Grass Valley also highlights LayerCake as part of its NAB Show 2026 infrastructure story. The company says LayerCake can provision complete production environments as pre-defined templates.

These environments can include AMPP compute instances and routing configurations. Grass Valley says teams can deploy or collapse them as needed. As a result, infrastructure capacity can align more closely with production demand instead of staying fixed.

Additional AMPP OS updates include NMOS Bridge, integration with GV Orbit, and Kaleido-IP X Pro enhancements. Grass Valley says NMOS Bridge improves device discovery and control in mixed IP environments.

The company also says GV Orbit adds unified orchestration, while Kaleido-IP X Pro expands scalable multiviewing across multiple standards. Together, these updates are designed to present routing, processing, and orchestration as one connected system.

Grass Valley says signals can move between SDI, IP, and cloud environments while control and visibility remain consistent across the operation.

Grass Valley at NAB Show 2026 and the Media Universe

At NAB Show 2026, Grass Valley will demonstrate these media infrastructure capabilities as part of its broader Grass Valley Media Universe. The company says the presentation will show how connected infrastructure can support hybrid production at scale.
