WorldCast Systems releases Audemat MC6 v1.4

WorldCast Systems has released Audemat MC6 v1.4, the latest software update for its FM and DAB+ test and measurement platform.

The company says the new version strengthens DAB mobile measurement and adds new tools for lab and automation workflows.

According to WorldCast Systems, the update improves both field analysis and bench testing. As a result, the MC6 now covers a wider range of broadcast measurement tasks in one platform.

Audemat MC6 v1.4 for DAB mobile analysis

Version 1.4 adds major improvements for DAB and DAB+ field work, especially during mobile measurement campaigns. WorldCast Systems says the MC6 now includes richer embedded data for deeper Single Frequency Network analysis.

This gives engineers clearer visibility into transmitter contribution and network synchronization under real driving conditions. Therefore, teams can evaluate DAB network behavior more precisely in the field.

Audemat MC6 v1.4 with GoldenEar for DAB

WorldCast Systems has also added GoldenEar to mobile DAB measurements. The company describes GoldenEar as an objective FM audio quality analysis technology.

In this new use case, GoldenEar provides a simple reception quality score alongside RF and modulation parameters. As a result, operators can make network optimization decisions with clearer and more practical data.

Audemat MC6 v1.4 for lab and manufacturing work

Beyond field measurements, version 1.4 expands the MC6 for laboratory and manufacturing environments. The unit now includes analog audio, AES audio, and MPX signal generation.

According to WorldCast Systems, these functions provide reference signals for calibration and equipment alignment. In turn, users can reduce their dependence on external generators.

Audemat MC6 v1.4 for automation

The new Automatic Lab Measurements module adds distortion analysis. In addition, remote control through Telnet allows easier integration into automated test benches and factory or site acceptance workflows.

Because of that, broadcasters and manufacturers can use the MC6 more easily in repeatable testing environments.

Grégory Mercier on Audemat MC6 v1.4

Grégory Mercier, Director of Product Marketing, said version 1.4 reflects close work with broadcasters and regulators that use the MC6 in both the field and the lab. He said customer feedback directly shaped the new features, from advanced DAB+ measurement to built-in signal generation and automation support.

Mercier added that the goal is to provide one flexible platform for network deployment, optimization, and production testing.

Audemat MC6 v1.4 availability

WorldCast Systems says the Audemat MC6 v1.4 upgrade is available now. The update is included for customers with an active service contract. The company also says users can buy and activate the new software modules through a license key.
