
Appear has appointed Mike Burk to the new role of Vice President of Business Development for North America.
The company says the move supports its growth plans after strong financial results and its IPO in November 2025.
Burk joins Appear with more than 20 years of experience in broadcast and live production. Most recently, he led LTN Global’s production and managed services business. Before that, he founded DTAGS and served as its president until LTN acquired the company in 2020.

Appear says Burk will lead strategic growth initiatives in North America. In addition, he will help accelerate go-to-market plans and strengthen customer engagement across the region.
The company says demand for its media processing and content delivery solutions continues to grow. Therefore, Appear is expanding its business development leadership in its core market.

He added that Burk fits Appear’s customer-first culture and will play an important role in the company’s growth plans.

Appear says Burk has worked on complex production and transmission solutions for major live events. The company also points to his leadership experience at LTN Global and DTAGS.
Burk said he had known Appear through earlier work at LTN. He said the company’s technology, momentum, and focus on real broadcaster and content owner challenges made it an attractive next step. He also said he looks forward to expanding Appear’s presence in North America and building stronger customer relationships.

A key part of Burk’s role will be close work with the sales team. Appear says he will help the company respond to long-term production and transmission needs across the market.
The company also says Burk will work with a broad range of service providers, help open new market segments, and support new service offerings. In addition, he will take part in the development of Appear’s Customer Success Programs.
Appear says Burk also plans to expand customer engagement efforts, including the company’s Customer Councils. According to the company, these groups give customers a role in product development and encourage discussion around workflow innovation.
