Tieline ViA Duo for Remote Broadcast at NAB Show 2026

Tieline ViA Duo will debut at NAB Show 2026. At Booth C2246, Tieline the Codec Company will present the new codec as a compact platform for remote broadcast, commentary, and off-tube production.

The company says Tieline ViA Duo brings several IP workflow functions into one portable unit.

Tieline designed ViA Duo for reporters, commentators, announcers, and radio hosts who work outside the studio. It supports HDMI video output, multiple AoIP protocols, and IP streaming over several interfaces.

The codec is aimed at several use cases. For example, reporters can use it with a guest in the field. In addition, two commentators can use it for sports coverage. It also suits announcers working from home and radio hosts on the road.

Tieline ViA Duo also supports off-tube commentary and sports commentary workflows. Users can work over AES67, ST 2110-30, Livewire, RAVENNA, or Dante. The company notes that AoIP and Dante card support is optional.

Charlie Gawley, VP Sales APAC/EMEA at Tieline, said ViA Duo builds on the company’s established ViA technology. He added that the codec connects field reporting and commentary in one platform. He also said it works as an IP codec, an AoIP commentary node, and a solution for off-tube broadcasting with audio and video feed support.

Tieline ViA Duo compact design

Tieline says ViA Duo is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. It includes two XLR mic or line inputs and headphone outputs.

Moreover, the codec can send bidirectional stereo or dual mono IP audio from remote locations back to the studio. It supports cellular, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connections. As a result, teams can work from a wide range of locations.

Tieline ViA Duo as an all-in-one codec

Tieline says ViA Duo removes the need for extra outboard gear in many situations. That includes mixers, equalizers, compressors, noise gates, expanders, recorders, and playback machines. Therefore, users get an all-in-one unit for field and commentary work.

Users can also deploy Tieline ViA Duo as an AoIP node in a stadium commentary booth. Then they can connect it over a LAN to a remote truck or over a WAN to a mixing console at a studio REMI hub.

Tieline ViA Duo remote control

Tieline includes full remote control through the Toolbox Web-GUI embedded in every unit. Users can also manage the codec through the optional Cloud Codec Controller.

Visitors will be able to see Tieline ViA Duo for the first time at NAB Show 2026 at Booth C2246.
