Interview with Bryan Reksten, VP of Marketing at VITEC, ISE 2024, Barcelona, Spain.
Hi, I’m Bryan Reksten with VITEC. We are here at ISE 2024, showing off our IPTV digital signage platform. We’ve got a number of different innovations that I’ll talk about in a minute, but just within our basic product portfolio, we have an IPTV solution that can run on any network and provide content management for multiple channels. It’s also integrated with a digital signage system, so you can have digital signage depending on if that’s something you need as a communication tool to your audience, whether you’re in a stadium, corporate environment, or a hospital healthcare. It’s all integrated into one system.
TKT1957: What new products is your company showcasing at ISE 2024?
Bryan: Today, we’re excited about having introduced a number of new products here at ISE.
The first one is the MGW Diamond-H 4K HDMI encoder, which is a small encoder with a very small form factor. It comes with a feature that customers have really wanted, which is HDMI loop-through, so they can take an image off of a PC, come straight through, and then it can be put onto a display and onto the network. Additionally, it has PoE, so it’s something that can be simply plugged in with an HDMI ethernet cable, and then you’ve got an encoding solution that can be used.
Additionally, we’re introducing our EP6, which is our newest endpoint that supports our IPTV platform and gives you dual 4K video so that you can really provide very rich graphics and content to your audiences. VITEC EP6 is a multi-video advanced decoder – with a fanless design – that can output 2x 4K or quad-HD video streams, along with the ability to render stunning 4K graphics up to 2160p60. Especially in environments where you want to engage an audience and you want them to see content that’s cutting-edge and beautifully displayed, taking advantage of many newer displays that are available, that content is really very nice.
We have also, with our IPTV platform, introduced a new feature called WayFinding. This is a module within IPV where if you need the ability to get around, you can pull up a map, press on it, and it can show you how to get from point A to point B. It’s got search functions you can do based on accessibility, so lots of features that are available inside of that.
