Appear Sports Workflows at NAB Show 2026

At NAB Show 2026, Appear will highlight its latest live production technologies for media companies working in sports and premium live events.

The company will present its solutions at Booth W1531 during the April 19–22 event in Las Vegas.

Appear will use the show to underline its recent business growth and its broader expansion plans. The company says it is building on the momentum that followed its IPO in November 2025.

Business Growth and Market Focus

Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen, CEO of Appear, said the company’s customer-first approach remains central to its strategy. He also said close work with companies and organizations such as NBCUniversal, YouTube, LaLiga, and PSSI continues to shape product development and long-term priorities.

According to Jørgensen, these relationships help Appear refine technologies for demanding live event production and large-scale content delivery. He added that the company sees further opportunities as it expands its reach and capabilities.

Three NAB Show 2026 Use Cases

At Booth W1531, Appear will focus on three main use cases. These include satellite-to-IP migration, REMI and distributed production, and edge-to-cloud operational workflows.

The company says these areas reflect current industry requirements as broadcasters, rights holders, leagues, and service providers adjust production models and delivery infrastructure.

Satellite-to-IP Migration

Appear says the industry continues to move from satellite delivery to IP in response to spectrum pressure and cost concerns. The company positions its X Platform as a fit for that shift.

Appear describes the X Platform as a high-capacity, ultra-dense, low-latency media processing and gateway platform. The company points to NBCUniversal’s deployment as an example. According to Appear, that project increased density at edge sites by 200 percent while also simplifying operations and supporting more flexible IP- and cloud-connected workflows.

REMI and Distributed Production

Appear will also highlight REMI and distributed production workflows at NAB Show 2026. The company says sports leagues, broadcasters, and rights holders are adopting these models to lower costs and expand live production capacity.

According to Appear, its technology supports acquisition, contribution, and distribution at scale. It is designed to maintain timing, synchronization, and reliability across AVC, HEVC, and ultra-low-latency JPEG XS workflows.

One Workflow from Edge to Cloud

Another focus will be unified workflows across hardware, software, and cloud resources. Appear says broadcasters increasingly want one operational model that connects edge and cloud environments.

At NAB Show 2026, the company will demonstrate how live production can run as one flexible and resilient workflow. In that setup, deterministic performance remains in place where it matters most, while cloud elasticity is used where it adds value.

VX Media Gateway

Alongside the X Platform, Appear will also show VX Media Gateway. The company describes it as a cloud-ready, API-driven software platform that extends media transport and processing into datacenter and cloud environments.

According to Appear, VX Media Gateway complements the X Platform and supports hybrid production infrastructure design.

He said visitors to the booth will see how Appear is working with customers in sports, broadcast, and service provider markets to update workflows and respond to changing audience demand.
