Inaugural Gulf & MENA Decision-Makers Forum 2026 Concludes in Dubai

This express interview was recorded during the inaugural Gulf & MENA Decision-Makers Forum in Dubai on October 5, 2026.

— What is the biggest change you expect in sports and broadcast technology in MENA over the next two to three years?

I expect a shift toward producing content from one event for multiple platforms. Alongside traditional TV coverage, we need vertical video and clips for social media. Sports metadata should also be available directly in apps for fans.

— Where can AI create the most business value for broadcasters and sports organizations?

AI is a challenge right now. Its main value is shortening broadcast workflows, especially in sports. I see opportunities in producing more highlights, generating sports graphics, automating clipping, and enhancing the picture with additional motion effects.

— What would you change about how broadcasters, sports organizations, and technology companies work together in the region?

I would change the mindset around who comes first in the process. Content creators have great imaginations and want to cover everything, but they can lack operational and technical expertise. We need an ecosystem that brings operations and technology together to achieve a better broadcast outcome.
