Ikegami introduced the new VFE-P07D at NAB Show 2026. The company says the new model expands its on-camera viewfinder range for UNICAM XE cameras.
Ikegami positions the VFE-P07D as a combined monocular OLED viewfinder with an added tiltable 3.5-inch monitor.
The company says the new viewfinder is designed for shoulder-mounted and studio-format cameras. It is aimed at operators who need accurate viewing, flexible positioning, and easier monitoring in different shooting conditions.
Ikegami VFE-P07D for UNICAM XE cameras
Teri Zastrow, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ikegami USA, said the VFE-P07D attaches easily to shoulder-mount and studio cameras in the UNICAM XE series. She said the viewfinder uses a Full HD OLED screen in a monocular design for accurate camera positioning and focusing in both bright and low-light environments.
Zastrow also said the OLED screen’s fast response time helps when shooting fast-moving subjects such as sports. In addition, she said the high contrast range is useful for HDR production. She added that the 3.5-inch LCD monitor above the eyepiece helps with off-center shooting angles and monitoring from positions farther away from the eyepiece.
Ikegami VFE-P07D display design
Ikegami says the monocular section uses a 0.7-inch OLED with a 16:9 aspect ratio, fast response time, 200 cd per square meter brightness, and an integrated magnifying lens.
Above it, the company places a 3.5-inch TFT LCD monitor with 450 cd per square meter brightness and 170-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Ikegami says users can face the monitor forward or rotate it laterally through 180 degrees. The tilt angle can also move through more than 120 degrees.
Ikegami VFE-P07D controls and tools
Ikegami says the VFE-P07D includes a tally light on the front side of the viewfinder. The unit also provides controls for peak level, contrast, brightness, menu settings, marker selection, zebra on and off, and tally brightness.
The company also says users can access an assignable pushbutton from the rear of the viewfinder. In addition, waveform, vectorscope, and audio metering tools are available on the displays.
Ikegami VFE-P07D with external signal input
Ikegami says the VFE-P07D also includes a BNC input for the 3.5-inch display. This allows operators to monitor external HD or 3G-SDI signals when working on location or in tight spaces.
According to the company, both the OLED display and the LCD monitor support 1920 x 1080 resolution and 16.7 million colors.
Ikegami VFE-P07D camera compatibility
Ikegami says the VFE-P07D is compatible with several UNICAM XE cameras. These include the HDK-X500, UHK-X600, portable UHK-X700, and UHK-X700RF wireless camera.
The company says these camera systems use 3-CMOS global-shutter imagers and conform to the ITU-R BT.2020 HDR standard.
Ikegami at NAB Show 2026 with wider lineup
At NAB Show 2026, Ikegami will also show the VFE-P710AD and VFE-P711AD 7-inch OLED viewfinders. In addition, the company will present the new Variable Neutral Density filter function for the UHK-X700 and UHK-750 UNICAM XE portable and studio cameras.
Ikegami says its NAB Show 2026 display also includes more UNICAM XE cameras, compact and POV cameras, SDI and IP camera control systems, and broadcast picture monitors from 9 inches to 31.1 inches.
