Matrox Video will highlight software-defined production and IP workflows at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas.
At Booth N2451, Matrox Video will show how broadcasters and media companies can move toward more flexible and more efficient live production infrastructures. The company will also present devices that connect current IP systems with future software-defined production models.
Matrox Video at NAB Show 2026 with ORIGIN
Matrox Video will center its NAB Show 2026 presentation on Matrox ORIGIN. The company describes it as an asynchronous media framework and a deployment-ready base for the European Broadcasting Union’s Dynamic Media Facility vision.
Matrox says ORIGIN runs on standard IT infrastructure, either on premises or in the cloud. Instead of relying on dedicated hardware and synchronous protocols such as ST 2110 or SDI, the platform uses distributed media services in COTS environments. In addition, Matrox ORIGIN Fabric provides an MXL-compatible uncompressed media exchange layer for secure content sharing across vendors.

Matrox says ORIGIN separates media processing from dedicated hardware. At the same time, it combines media transport and integrated control. As a result, the platform supports low-latency, resilient, and scalable workflows.
According to the company, this approach gives customers a practical way to apply the Dynamic Media Facility model today. The focus extends beyond transport alone and includes broader workflow operations.
Alberto Cieri, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Matrox Video, said the broadcast market is moving toward software-defined and IP-based production models. He added that Matrox ORIGIN and the company’s wider IP portfolio are designed to give customers more flexibility and stronger operational efficiency while maintaining the performance needed in live broadcast environments.
Matrox Video at NAB Show 2026 with IP workflow tools
Matrox Video will also use NAB Show 2026 to present IP-based production tools for live workflows from capture to delivery. These products are intended to support practical migration paths to IP inside existing infrastructures.
The lineup includes Matrox Monarch EDGE for secure, low-latency encoding and decoding in remote production and distribution workflows. It also includes Matrox ConvertIP for zero-latency bridging between SDI and ST 2110 or IPMX workflows.
Matrox will also show Matrox Vion, a multi-channel 4K IP gateway for encoding, decoding, transcoding, and cross-conversion across live and cloud production environments. In addition, the company will present Matrox Avio 2, an ST 2110, IPMX, and NMOS-enabled IP KVM extender for high-resolution extension over standard networks.
Matrox Video developer and infrastructure portfolio
The Matrox Video booth will also include broadcast developer solutions. These include SMPTE ST 2110 network interface cards, SDI input and output video cards, and high-density H.264 encoders and decoders.
Matrox says this broader portfolio supports open and interoperable IP production environments. The company also says its technologies fit multi-vendor infrastructures more easily.

As Matrox Video marks 50 years in the market, the company will use NAB Show 2026 to underline its long-term focus on open IP production technologies. Matrox says its support for IPMX, SMPTE ST 2110, and NMOS helps customers build integrated workflows across different vendor environments.
At Booth N2451, visitors will be able to see how the Matrox Video portfolio supports next-generation live production infrastructure.
