MultiDyne 50th Anniversary at NAB Show 2026

As NAB Show 2026 approaches, MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems is marking its 50th anniversary.

The milestone reflects five decades of work in broadcast and live production technology. MultiDyne will exhibit at Booth C4425 during the April 19–22 event in Las Vegas.

The company was founded in 1976 by Vincent Jachetta, an NBC engineer. Its first product was the TS-1, which MultiDyne describes as the broadcast industry’s first portable test signal generator. According to the company, that product launched the business, earned its first Emmy Award, and shaped its long-term engineering direction.

Company history and development

MultiDyne says it grew from a family-run company into a global supplier of fiber-optic transport, signal processing, and live production systems. Over time, the company added major milestones that included two Emmy Awards, business acquisitions, and wider international expansion.

Frank Jachetta, CEO of MultiDyne, said the company’s history is not only about longevity but also about change and development. He said the business has kept the same core mindset since the beginning: identify a problem and solve it.

SilverBack and product portfolio

The company says its second Emmy Award recognized the SilverBack system. According to MultiDyne, that product changed how television and on-prem video content are produced in venues, houses of worship, and other environments by enabling cinematic cameras in broadcast workflows.

Across its broader portfolio, the company says it has continued to focus on fiber transport, signal conversion, audio monitoring, and other systems that address practical production requirements.

Recent growth and international expansion

MultiDyne says recent years have brought its strongest growth period so far. The company reports record performance together with expansion in operations, engineering resources, and product range.

According to the company, this growth has been driven by demand across broadcast, digital cinema, and professional AV markets. MultiDyne also says its expansion outside North America has contributed to that momentum. The company opened a European office in Poland in 2023 and continues to build its global partner network.

Jachetta said companies often perform best in markets where they have a local presence. He said MultiDyne is building that local presence in regions such as Europe and Asia in order to support customers more directly.

Focus on IP, cloud, and new markets

Looking ahead, MultiDyne says it plans to extend its position in the media technology market while maintaining its role in fiber transport. The company is also investing in adjacent areas such as IP workflows, video compression, cloud integration, and software-driven solutions.

At the same time, MultiDyne says it is expanding further into professional AV and enterprise live production. According to the company, those markets continue to show demand for reliable signal transport and monitoring systems.

Jachetta added that the company still addresses the same core challenge of moving video from one point to another, but now does so across more platforms, markets, and regions.

NAB Show 2026 presence

At NAB Show 2026, MultiDyne will highlight both its history and its current direction. The company’s booth presentation will reflect its 50-year anniversary as well as its ongoing work in fiber transport, live production, and adjacent workflow areas.
