Amagi, a cloud-native SaaS company for broadcast and streaming television, has added AI-driven Artwork Generation and Transformation to its Amagi NOW ingest-to-monetization platform.
The new functionality allows media companies to create platform-ready promotional artwork directly inside the Amagi system, using source video as the starting point.
ARTWORK SELECTION FROM VIDEO
The system analyzes video content frame by frame to identify the image most suitable for promotional use. It evaluates composition, subject visibility, emotional tone, and narrative context to select a base image for each title.
Editorial teams remain part of the process. They can review, refine, and approve the selected image before it is used in distribution workflows.
AUTOMATIC MULTI-FORMAT OUTPUT
After approval of the base image, Amagi NOW converts it into multiple formats required by different distribution platforms. These include 16:9 for connected TV, 9:16 for mobile, 2:3 for poster layouts, 1:1 for social media, and 4:3 for legacy environments.
The system is designed to maintain subject framing and visual consistency while adapting each version to platform-specific layout and safe-zone requirements.
WORKFLOW INSIDE AMAGI NOW
Artwork variants can be further customized inside the platform with logos, title graphics, overlays, and branded templates. The workflow is managed within Amagi Media Manager and includes role-based access, preview tools, and audit trails for tracking edits and approvals.
OPERATIONAL VALUE
Amagi said the new functionality is intended to reduce artwork turnaround times, remove manual frame selection and resizing work, and improve consistency across multiple distribution endpoints. The company also positions the capability as a way for media organizations to scale content output across FAST, OTT, connected TV, and social platforms without increasing creative headcount.
COMPANY COMMENT
Srividhya Srinivasan, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Amagi, said the volume of artwork required across modern distribution platforms has become an operational issue for media companies. She said the new AI capability is designed to reduce manual workload while keeping editorial oversight in place and supporting broader growth for Amagi.

AVAILABILITY AND NAB SHOW 2026
AI-driven Artwork Generation and Transformation is available now for Amagi NOW customers. A phased rollout to the broader customer base is scheduled to begin in Q2 2026. Amagi is presenting the technology at NAB Show 2026 in West Hall, booth 2331.
